What is Common Admission Test (CAT ) ?

CAT (Common Admission Test) is the premier all India management entrance exam conducted by IIMs. In year 2016 - 2,04,267 students competed for 1550+ seats making it the most competitive exam in the country. The IIMs are the premier management institutes in India established by an act of Parliament. The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories), awarded by any University or educational institution as incorporated by an Act of the Parliament

What is the Pattern of CAT exam ?

CAT is a 3 hour paper with 100 questions, 3 number for each correct answer and 1 negitive mark cut for each incorrect answer.
The total number of questions in CAT 2017 is going to be 100. There are 34 questions each in Verbal and Reading Comprehension and Quantitative Ability sections. In the Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning section, the number of questions is 32.


What is The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) ?

Take the exam to let them know you are serious about graduate management education. Your scores are a way to compare yourself with other graduate applicants. Figure out what you need to focus on to help your application.

The GMAT exam is a computer adaptive test and not a computer based test, which means that the candidate will get one question at a time and depending on the accuracy of the previous answer, the difficulty level of the next question will be ascertained. The average scores required for universities abroad varies; top tier universities require at least 710, while middle tier universities accept 600.


What is the Structure of GMAT Test ?

1 question of analytical writing assessment with 30 mins time limit to answer, the question will be based upon analysis of argument, you can get 0-6 score depending upon the answer you give 12 questions of Integrated reasoning with 30 mins time limit, the question type will be multi score reasoning, table analysis, graphics interpretation, two part analysis, you can get 1-8 score depending upon the answer you give
37 questions of quantitative aptitude with 75 mins time limit, the question type will be data sufficiency and problem solving, you can get 0-60 score depending upon the answer you give
41 question of Verbal reasoning in 75 mins time limit, the question type will be reading comprehensions, critical reasoning and sentence correction, you can score 0-60 depending upon the answer you give


What are other exams to take admission in Premier MBA/BBA in various College/University in India?

XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is the entrance exam organized by Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur. However, it is conducted by the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI) for admission in XLRI and many other top tier management institutes of India.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India. It is a national-level admission test for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE.

IIFT Delhi & Kolkata" Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) conduct its written examination in November 2017 for admission to its MBA-IB (MBA in International Business) program 2018-20 at IIFT Delhi & Kolkata

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied program.

National Aptitude Test (NAT) popularly known as NAT is a national level entrance exam. It is conducted to offer admission in Management, Professional and Allied Programs at the under – graduate and Post – graduate level courses like BCA, BBA, B.Com, BFT, BHMCT, B.Tech and the PG programs are likely MCA, MBA, M.Com, MFT, MMC, PGDCA, MIB, PGDBA and PGDBM in various institutes of India. NAT exam is conducted by Society for Research & Development in Education (SRDE).

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test(SNAP) is conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune for admission to various Post Graduate Programmes.

IBSAT is an online management aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. The test scores are used for admission to MBA and PhD programs of nine ICFAI Business School (IBS) campuses – Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Dehradun, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

The MHT-CET or Common Entrance Test (Management) is an annual entrance exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. It is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education.
